Dr. Hart is a Professor and Extension Range Specialist in the Department of Ecosystem Science and Management at Texas A&M University. He also serves as an Associate Department Head and Extension Program Unit leader for the department. Dr. Hart started his career with Extension in Colorado before accepting a Range Specialist position at the Fort Stockton District Extension Center in 1995. He currently is stationed at the Texas AgriLife Research and Extension Center in Stephenville. In these positions Dr. Hart provides expertise on rangeland related issues and subject matter training to County Extension Agents in Texas. His Extension programs focus on result demonstrations/applied research on a variety of brush and weed species, integrated approaches to management of livestock poisoning plants and riparian invasive species management. He has co-authored two books on toxic plants, one book on weed and brush identification and numerous research and Extension publications.
Dr. Hart received a Ph.D. in Range Science from New Mexico State University, M.S. in Wildlife Biology and a B.S. in Agriculture Business from Abilene Christian University
